Album 25: Darkness Before Dawn

Darkness Before Dawn is the 25th Adventures in Odyssey mainstream album. It was released in June 1996. Its episodes began airing on the radio starting on July 15, 1995 and finished on October 7, 1995.

Description

An unprecedented wave of criminal activity has broken over the town, and its citizens are stunned. Thefts, broken windows, graffiti... who on earth is behind this outbreak of lawlessness? It’s up to the crew at Whit's End to find out. But as Jack, Jason, Eugene and the others set out to uncover the answer, they face a tremendous test of faith, friendship and forgiveness. Will they get through this dark time to see the light of dawn?
Dr. Regis Blackgaard is back, and this time he's after more than just revenge. There's a secret buried deep beneath Whit's End that he'll spare no expense to capture. Lucy gets kidnapped. There's a vandal on the loose. And the events of Eugene's entire existence in Odyssey come to one dramatic turning point that will change his life forever. It's an epic adventure of good vs. evil, heroes and villains and a powerful reminder that in the midst of darkness, light always prevails.

Bonus Features

There are no extra features on this album, but the episodes do feature a total of 3 minutes and 19 seconds of extra scenes that had to be deleted from the original broadcast versions in order to keep them at the appropriate time for the radio.

Story Arc

Eleven of the episodes in this album contributed to a massive storyline that ended many long-standing AIO points. This album wrapped up the Dr. Regis Blackgaard saga, Eugene's salvation, some of the history of Odyssey, and a few minor points. The only episode that contributes only tangentially to any of these storylines is 323: A Little Credit, Please.
