When John Avery Whittaker returns from a lengthy stay in the Middle East, the entire town of Odyssey turns out for a joyous homecoming celebration with fanfare and fireworks. But for Jack, Whit’s arrival means an uneasy reunion- and a tough decision about the future. Then, the phrase “fools rush in” takes on new significance for Eugene when he neglects to seek God’s direction in his relationship with Katrina. Where will God’s plan lead them next?
There are no extra features on this album, but the episodes do feature a total of 18 minutes and 36 seconds of extra scenes that had to be deleted from the original broadcast versions in order to keep them at the appropriate time for the radio.
Many of these episodes contribute to one central story-line or deal with other related arcs. The main arc of this album is Whit's return to Odyssey, but Eugene and Katrina's relationship is also dealt with, as is the future of Tom Riley and Jack Allen. These episodes include:
The original back of the album pictures a frantic Connie Kendall, dressed in jeans and a pullover, making her mad dash in #364: “Home, Sweet Home”. However, she told Tom Riley at the end of that episode that she had gotten "dressed up" for the evening.
