Town Hall

Please don't delete conversations from the Town Hall page. When the page gets too full, an admin will take all of the currently in-active conversations and archive them. episode infobox

I think what you did looks good, I think I've mostly finished doing on the infobox what I wanted to do, just never removed it from my talk page. Due to limited time these days I mostly stay behind the scenes trying to keep things up to date, fixing bugs and fighting the spammers that sometimes take our site down. intro categories

Hey, how many new category pages do you need to create for the intro/outro info you added? I have this really handy gadget called Mabel (you can find it under your preferences) and it automatically creates category and ratings for you when you click on a link to a page that doesn't exist. I could add these new categories to her features if there's a large amount to create. I also haven't forgotten about making the episodes with multiple ones collapsible, I'm planning on looking at that this Saturday Reddo (talk) 16:03, 1 June 2016 (MDT)

Hey, Reddo. I've created most of the categories already. They go by the names Episodes with Intro intro and Episodes with Wraps wraps. Whenever I create one, the template Episode intro category or Episode wraps category goes there. The complete list is commented out (it's long, edit to view). It's kinda hard to explain how exactly to format the intros/wraps in their episode infoboxes; trial and error works, I'll edit if they're wrong. HOWEVER!!! I don't really need Mabel to create the categories; it's not a lot. Thanks though. Thanks also for looking into the collapsible thing. By the way, three things happened: My signature's new, I finished my messy OT Theory, and I put in virtually all the info for Things Not Seen two hours after it was released! Whaddaya think? Alternate Name Pages

Hey. I'm sorry I haven't been helping you with the intros and wraps lately. I don't really have time right now, although I want to continue helping in the future. I noticed you have made pages for the original titles of episodes and redirected them to the episode page. I don't see a good reason for this. I think it's unnecessary. The Good Soil‎‎

Why did you undo my edit? Reddo added all the full size pictures from the club, (Although I'm not sure why he didn't just upload a new version of each file, rather than uploading completely new files) but I noticed that some of them (Like The Cure, Part 3 and Follow Me) are a different shape then the regular square, causing them to look odd on the episode pages. I was going to put the old ones as the album picture for those, and have the new ones in the gallery. I think that it would be good to have them appear the same size on each page. On second thought, that seems like a good idea. I did see the different sizes of images on other pages and thought that it was accepted to put bigger ones in anyway; however, my apologies, your way is better. No! I REALLY want it! I've made Tilly my pet project as it is the rarest episode ever; I got the info I put into it from Amazon.com. Since you know Nathan better than I know him... maybe you can bribe him for the digital copy? Or you can ask OdysseyFan; I'd be surprised if he didn't own it. Hi guys- So the knowledge is disseminated I thought I'd share that I own a (very old) FOTF cassette version of Tilly. I think last year more than 7 recently aired episodes were able to be listened to, but how? is my question. The Focus site denies access after a week. Also, can you figure out a way to get my edit count into a page? I know it's gonna be tough. (I will have to leave for ~40 min.) Focus changed how long episodes are kept open for, so I updated the app to remove them after 7 days instead of 10 or 12 (not sure what it used to be). When I made it there was the last 31 days of episodes available, but FOTF has slowly been lowering that Reddo (talk) 09:09, 30 July 2016 (MDT)

new episode template

I undid your edits to the new episode template, that's just what gets loaded into the edit box when you create a new episode, where did they say they're performing a new episode? I've looked for info on what they're doing but I haven't found much about it yet Reddo (talk) 19:42, 29 July 2016 (MDT)

Oh! I thought that template was for this page, a new episode whose name we didn't know. That's mostly speculation as to the info I put in; I know they're recording an episode (source), so I based the info off of Push the Red Button (Live). Userbox Help

On what you said in the userbox talk page, so I was able to do the already created userboxs, but I can't seem to figure out how to MAKE one. Trust me, I tried! Ideas? And if it includes programming, I'm doomed. XD AristaMaxwell (talk) 13:10, 31 July 2016 (MDT)

If you created a page and put the content in, that should be it. What specifically is your problem? Also, you should probably move Template:Username/AIOConspiracies to User:Arista Maxwell/Userboxes. And, if you can, your signature should have links to your page and your talk page, like mine. If you still have problems or questions, just ask and be very specific! Ok, what do you mean by content? Do you mean like the code that you type in to get the userboxs? And yes, I created a page! So let's say I wanted to make a userbox that says "this user writes AIO fanfiction". So I type in Removed. When I hit "enter", it shows "Template:Userbox/writes AIO fanfiction". In red. I don't freak out, because I know I just need to make a page. When I type out this (Removed), it does nothing. It stays red. Easy: Put in {{Userbox|This user writes AIO fanfiction|image=FanFiction.Net_logo.png}}. Make sure you have a pipe | after “{{Userbox” instead of a slash /. You also have to upload your image if it doesn't exist on the wiki. Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 15:00, 31 July 2016 (MDT)

Products

So where are we at as far as adding the Products dropdown to the left side? This would also add a template to the CREATING page when a new product is being added right? This will help greatly in standardizing the products pages. I was thinking a WHITE info box with a black border, pretty much like the BOOK pages, some will have Amazon or CBD codes... maybe we could do a custom "Search on Ebay" link. ~ OdysseyFan (talk) 14:12, 31 July 2016 (MDT)

Sorry, I suggested it and didn't follow through on putting it in on the sidebar. After you have all of the products you want cataloged, I can figure out the best way to put it in. I wanted to suggest, though, you created a lot of separate pages for products (like caps) but I was thinking you could create one cap page and have separate sections for the different products. That's kind of what you did for water bottles. Also, I think “Pink Cap” works better than “Cap Pink.” As for templates, what do you mean by CREATING page? I don't think I'll ever be "done" but I have the main Groups on the navbox? Apparel, Gear, Games, Calendars & Collectibles although Calendars could be condensed other things could be expanded like TOYS to a main Group to include the Action Figures, balls, Frisbees(there are at least 7 now) and yes I planned to finish the Hats and condense them like Water Bottles is. the Backpacks is gonna be large too. Just need the pics. Hoping someone could help even creating the pages and holding images using reference from my collection page would help, I could then re-take and upload new versions of pics later in better detail. ~ OdysseyFan (talk) 15:41, 31 July 2016 (MDT)

Re: Album Infobox

So it's been a solid two years (which is what happens with college), since I have been on here. My guess is there is a section for old and new, because we were transitioning between styles of infoboxes. If we got rid of the old, some sections of episodes would be messed up. As far as whether you can delete a section, talk to User:Reddo, he would also have a better answer as to why we have old and new. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 19:10, 6 August 2016 (MDT)

Now that I have been tinkering around for the past couple of days, I figured out more of why there is an old and new section. At some point, I apparently thought it would be a great idea to transition the template for albums to reflect that of the new episode (with the tabs) template. Now I tested it out, and there are still major issues with. I guessing that was an unfinished project of mine. There probably needs to be a discussion on whether we want/need tabs for the albums. Episode Redirections

I have noticed that you have deleted a few pages that were simply created to redirect. While they don't seem like they are needed, they actually are. These pages are there because it is a common misspelling, if we have a redirection it allows a user of the wiki to search by that name and still arrive to the correct location. For example, say they don't know that The Ties That Bind Us should be all capitalized. If they type The Ties that Bind Us, they will still find the correct page. What's the planned usage? An album version of the ep template? If so, not a bad idea just not sure of the usage. Although, to be completely honest, not sure why we have the ep template. With my template, instead of typing [[Album 33: Virtual Realities|Album #33: ''Virtual Realities'']] (Yielding Album #33: Virtual Realities) all we have to type is {{alb|33}} (Which yields Album #33: Virtual Realities), extremely streamlining the process. Re: Albums Box

Awesome and thanks! I don't even remember what I was doing with them. I am now trying to get the videos more mainstream, which is actually a possibility now. Actually, if you don't mind I would like your input. So if you look here you can see that the videos have a lot of cast and crew edits. Is that something that could be added to the infobox (that we would obviously need tabs for) or should it be it's own separate field (like characters) since the videos have so many different areas? Yeah, I don't expect you to take that one on. Just wondering what you thought. if you look at the sandbox, you can see kind of what I envision potentially. I think all that information would clutter the infobox. I am going to work on a functioning template, but school has started again, so I am pretty busy. Ultimately though, I just respect your ideas and by no means expect you to take on more then you have. You have definitely added life back into the editing community. samples/promos

Can you undo your edits on the episode infobox to go back to the promo = na system, #ifexists is an expensive parser function that's much slower than using the template parameter and has negative effects on the server Reddo (talk) 11:37, 1 October 2016 (MDT)

Oh... I used ReplaceText to get rid of "| promo = na" in all of Episodes missing previews. Sorry if this creates a lot of problems, but I don't want to have to click undo on all 117 of those pages; is there any way you can do it, and also for Episodes missing samples? Dec schedule

I had the schedule page up with red links, then went to find the weekend episodes that are going to be airing. Left the tabs there, came back from dinner and was most surprised to find that the red links now go to the correct pages! Good work. Re: New Projects

Not too sure what to make of the first image, I'm not a OAC member, so them having little women makes no difference to me. The second image is kind of nice. I would want it too look more polished if it were to be used as the wiki's logo. Genre

Easy: Whit's dizzy spells in The Ties That Bind, Part 8 and Between the Lines, Part 2 (both TTTB episodes) are similar to his spell in Castles and Cauldrons, Part 1. Kathy Buchanan actually referenced C&C when she wrote BtL. I thought BtL sounded a lot like it before I heard the interview with her, and the Odyssey ScoopCast thought the same thing. That's why (and only why) it fits. Connie the Counselor merely fits due to the character development of Buck and Jules. I am trying to condense which episodes exactly fit where, and CtC is a definite fit in The Ties That Bind. How Do You Add Things to Catergories

Scientific Guy, I was wondering, how do I add Tom Riley to deceased characters, because he is dead, as of Legacy.

Hello, unnamed wiki user (who incidentally looks like Agent Monty)! Simply put [[Category:category name]] on the page you want to add to category name. In this case, for Tom, you'd put [[Category:Deceased Characters]] at the bottom of the page, but don't put it on until "Legacy, Part 1" has aired, because the category will make his page show up on other pages. Infobox Other Character

Reddo

Have you tried emailing him? You can use the form here. That will send a message to his gmail account. Then when he replies back you will have his email address (and thus can email him directly).

He still uses email, I get one from him every month, so that should work.
