Rating Statistics Page Broken

Hey Reddo, The Rating Statistics Page is broken. You said you had access to the server, so I decided to contact you about it. WootonBasset (talk) 08:08, 11 April 2019 (MDT)

Looks like {{#w4grb_cat_rating:Episodes in {{{%TITLE%}}}}} is having trouble handling Albums 11 and 54, both of which have ellipsis points. Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 17:01, 11 April 2019 (MDT)
Fixed, thanks for telling me, i think it was an error with how php 7.x handles escaping characters different than 5.x Reddo (talk) 18:31, 11 April 2019 (MDT)

Penny Bassett Episode Sorting Incorrect

Hey Reddo,

The way the website is sorting which episodes Penny Bassett is in is incorrect. If you could fix it, that'd be great :)

Thanks, WootonBasset (talk) 12:33, 27 April 2019 (MDT)

error comes from Template:Infobox cast giving the page the wrong sort key due some pages having Penny Bassett{{!}}Penny Wise in the cast section, this was used to make text say Penny Wise but the link goes to Basset. That then gets put into the another template that does this [[category:episodes with Penny Bassett{{!}}Penny Wise]] the {{!}} is used to control the way the category is sorted, we have it set up to sort based off of episode number normally, but that's getting over ridden in this case and the episodes are sorted with the key of Penny Wise instead of ###. This results in the incorrect order that you are seeing here.
I realize you didn't ask me to explain it, but I'm not sure yet how to fix it, I'm not as good with writing efficient mediawiki code as I used to be, I could write a hack to fix it but I'd like to do it right and not bog down the server Reddo (talk) 23:09, 27 April 2019 (MDT)
Apparently it doesn't need fixing from the code side, the template is just being used wrong, I just made 2 edits to pages and fixed the problems to sort them properly just follow what I did to those pages the number is the number character that Penny is listed as in the template, hope that makes sense Reddo (talk) 23:27, 27 April 2019 (MDT)
Okay, thanks :) WootonBasset (talk) 14:32, 28 April 2019 (MDT)

Title Changes

How do you change a page's name? TheAIOlover (talk) 18:07, 6 May 2019 (MDT)

top right there's the more button, under there move, this move a page and it's contents and it's history to a new name Reddo (talk) 18:29, 6 May 2019 (MDT)

Search Suggestions / Further From the Truth

Hey Reddo, first: is Further From the Truth confirmed to be in Album 68? Second, when you type "Further f" into the search bar, nothing appears. I remember you fixed it a while back, but case-insensitive searches aren't working for me. Would you please check that? Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 18:49, 6 May 2019 (MDT)

I have no idea what Further From the Truth is a part of, I'm guessing season 7 but I don't know for sure. Hopefully we can get it cleared up in the next little bit. Case-insensitive is fixed again, I had tried to clean up extensions that I thought weren't doing anything to make the wiki faster and more efficient but I guess I turned off one we were still using Reddo (talk) 19:32, 6 May 2019 (MDT)
Making case insensitive work breaks the search if you want to go look up pages from other namespace like user Reddo (talk) 11:21, 7 May 2019 (MDT)
Is there a way to get both predictive search and case-insensitive? If not, we should have whatever extensions enabled predictive; I can live without case-insensitive. Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 11:51, 10 May 2019 (MDT)
only way to do both is with an extension called cirrus search which i believe has requirements that our server doesn't support sadly Reddo (talk) 17:19, 10 May 2019 (MDT)

Album 68 Episode

Nathan Hoobler said that there would be a episode with the word "wise" in it. Should I create that page and call it Untitled "Wise" Episode, or should I put in the notes on the page of album 68 and say, There will be an episode with the word "Wise" in an episode. Also, should I create another page called Untitled Autism Episode? TheAIOlover (talk) 14:44, 7 May 2019 (MDT)

I'd leave both of them just as notes for now until more details are known Reddo (talk) 16:49, 7 May 2019 (MDT)
Okay. TheAIOlover (talk) 16:51, 7 May 2019 (MDT)

Deleting Pages

How do you delete a page? TheAIOlover (talk) 18:52, 9 May 2019 (MDT)

Only admins can delete pages, if you find a page that needs to be deleted you can as add the delete page template to it and admin will get to it soon Reddo (talk) 06:43, 10 May 2019 (MDT)

Admin

Are there any requirements to become an admin? TheAIOlover (talk) 18:41, 14 May 2019 (MDT)

Special:DeleteBatch

Special:DeleteBatch won't work for me. Do you know why? Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 10:51, 25 May 2019 (MDT)

Also, is there a way I can assign the redirect fixer bot to Special:DoubleRedirects? Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 08:17, 26 May 2019 (MDT)

Do you know why Reddo has not been active? TheAIOlover (talk) 12:08, 26 May 2019 (MDT)
I updated batch delete, try it again it should work now. There's a command line script I can run to fix those as far as I know there's no way to run it other from the command line. What makes you think I haven't been active? I just focus on other things Reddo (talk) 19:52, 27 May 2019 (MDT)

Any Suggestions?

I'm wondering if there's anything I could help with on the wiki, that's more than just normal editing. TheAIOlover (talk) 18:10, 2 June 2019 (MDT)

Page titles with special characters

The page The Battle, Part 2 uses the episode widget at the top, where it links to the previous episode and the next episode. The link on this page for the next episode, You Go to School Where? fails because it uses a question mark character. Simply generating a link using the wiki markup with square brace square brace for this episode title works, but the episode widget does not. Can you assist in modifying the widget so it generates a valid link?

The Other Question pages just have a Redirect which seems to function well I created new redirect pages for this and a couple other ? titles OdysseyFan (talk) 17:25, 8 October 2019 (MDT)
sorry I missed this but seems like you guys have it figured out Reddo (talk) 19:37, 8 October 2019 (MDT)
Thank you! I had thought about just a redirect but wasn't entirely sure if it would work or how to do one. That definitely makes it possible to scroll from episode to next episode. Cryin Brian Dern (talk) 15:05, 9 October 2019 (MDT)

Not Inactive Anymore

Hi Reddo! I recently returned to editing the wiki regularly after an extended absence. I don't know how to remove myself from the "Inactive Admin" category. Category:Inactive sysops. Can you please help me out? Thanks! AIOrocks101 (talk) 17:57, 25 February 2020 (MST)

done, welcome back I'm not super active anymore either but I'm trying to get back into being around more Reddo (talk) 07:34, 26 February 2020 (MST)

mediacss

some boxes are showing the wrong color after the css update and the fold tabs are kinda glitchy. OdysseyFan (talk) 17:32, 28 February 2020 (MST)

Any idea why that infobox is red instead of yellow? Reddo (talk) 17:38, 28 February 2020 (MST)
Episodes with the red infoboxes are the ones with parental warnings. puzzlemaster (talk) 17:45, 28 February 2020 (MST)
yes well it's too much like the "BOOKs" infobox, and I think we can make that more visible with a header like the Spoilers vs changing the infobox color. OdysseyFan (talk) 17:50, 28 February 2020 (MST)
yeah it looks a lot like the books infobox, I was confused if that page was an episode or not when I first went to it Reddo (talk) 17:54, 28 February 2020 (MST)
I'd like to move most of the css from complex templates out into their own files to make it easier to read template code and also clean them up and make updating quicker, shouldn't need to recache 1000 pages for a simple css change Reddo (talk) 18:00, 28 February 2020 (MST)
