Jenny Whittaker, less commonly known by her maiden name of Guinevere Morrow, is the deceased wife of Whit, who died about a month before the creation of Whit's End due to complications from an untreated strep infection which led to a fatal case of chronic glomerulonephritis. Jenny, who has been described by Tom Riley as having "fiery red hair and hazel eyes", buried herself in volunteer work after the death of her son, Jerry Whittaker, in the Vietnam War, and was responsible for leading a group of Odyssey citizens to save the Fillmore Recreation center from demolition. She worked hard on the project, ignoring her own health and case of strep throat, which eventually settled in her kidneys and deteriorated them, causing her to collapse during a city council meeting to determine the fate of the building. She died soon afterwords on August 17, 1984 (at a presently unknown age).
Whit, who viewed the Fillmore center as a broken-down building that needed to be demolished and blamed the citizens of Odyssey for her death, grieved bitterly for about a month, until he met a young girl, who told him how much she cared for the old building and hated to see it torn down. When Whit learned the little girl's name, Jenny, he felt that the encounter was a sign from God and purchased the building on behalf of the Universal Press Foundation. Whit renovated it, making it into what is presently Whit's End.
Though the Family Portraits episode The New Kid in Town indicated that Jenny died 9 years before the episode, the FP series is not technically considered canonical. Within the accepted canon, the episode Recollections indicates that Jenny died four years ago to the day. Further information on her death is included in Behind the Locked Door.

|“||Jenny Whittaker: Whit, you old grump.
|“||John Whittaker: I think we've gotten off on the wrong foot, apart from the one in my mouth. Maybe we should start over. I’m John Avery Whittaker, but my friends call me Whit.
Jenny Whittaker: I’m Guinevere Morrow. My friends call me Jenny. You can call me Guinevere.
John Whittaker: Oh, uh... oh. Guinevere.
|“||Jenny Whittaker: It's not a snow "man", Monty, it's my snow "friend".
Monty Whittaker: Snowfriend? Good grief Jenny, where do you get this stuff? For once, couldn't you be normal and build a snowman?
Jenny Whittaker: Precision of language, Monty. I couldn't decide if it's a male or female, so I decided to call it my snow-friend. "Say what you mean, mean what you say." That's my motto.
Monty Whittaker: "Go stick your head in the snow." That's my motto.
Jenny Whittaker: There you go with your adolescent trauma again.
|“||Jenny Whittaker: Maybe we should do the thing we were supposed to do all along.
John Whittaker: You're right. Should I start?
Jenny Whittaker: Go ahead.
John Whittaker: Dear God.....
|“||Jenny Whittaker: John?
John Whittaker : Hi Jenny... why are you out of breath?
Jenny Whittaker: I ran most of the way home. I just saw the doctor.
John Whittaker : Doctor? Why didn't you just tell me-
Jenny Whittaker: Well, I was feeling nauseous a-and dizzy, so I went. But that's not important. John, you're going to be a father!
|“||John Whittaker: Jen... is he here? Can I see him?
Jenny Whittaker: Just turn around, John.
John Whittaker: Oh, Jerry!
Jerry Whittaker: Hi, Dad; how ya doin'?
|“||John Whittaker: WILL YOU MARRY ME?!
Doctor: Well, answer the question. Are you gonna marry him?
Jenny Whittaker: Yes! Yes, of course I'll marry you, John Avery!
John Whittaker: YES!
Unknown: Good. Now, any allergies?
