They later got married in Texas.

Quotes

Jack Davis: Hey, look, it's Robyn Roter! Hi, Greensleeves. How's it going?
Robyn Jacobs: I'm not in the mood, Jack. Hi, Oscar.
Oscar Peterson: Hi, Robyn.

#81: “Good Business”

Jack Davis: Elementary, Mr. Watson. <buzzer sounds> AAhh! What was that, a security alarm?
Mr. Watson: Nope, was my bad joke buzzer. They're on special for $9.95.
Oscar Peterson: Boy, hardware stores carry everything these days.

#82: “Heatwave”

Jack Davis: I'll bet those things he carries out in the middle of the night are his experiments. Just like Frankenstein.

#29: “Rumor Has It”

Robyn Jacobs: Boy, I never thought I'd be happy to see you again.
Jack Davis: Yeah. Likewise.

#88: “Elijah, Part 2”

Curt Stevens: Mr. Walton?
Jimmy Barclay: Connie?
Jack Davis: Mr. Whittaker?
Meriwether Lewis: Where did you people come from? This boat can't handle this much weight!

#639: “The Triangled Web, Part 2”

Jack Davis: <voiceover> I greeted her the way all great detectives greet women. <to Robyn> Hiyah, doll face. What's the latest news?
Robyn Jacobs: The report of your damaged body if you don't call me by my real name.

#82: “Heatwave”

Jack Davis: I usually wind up in my room when I disobey.
Jonah: I'll trade places with you anytime.
Jack Davis: No, thanks. Boy, this story was fun up until now. Now I feel bad.
Jonah: You and me both, kiddo.

#41: “Return to the Bible Room”

Robyn Jacobs: All right, guys. You win. If you help me finish the lawns I said we'd do, I've give you what you want.
Jack Davis: You'll give us seven dollars and seventy-five cents?
Robyn Jacobs: No. I'll give you all of it: the whole ten dollars.
Jack Davis: What?!!
Oscar Peterson: But you can't! We only asked for—
Jack Davis: Quiet, Oscar! Be quiet!

#81: “Good Business”

Jack Davis: Good grief.

#88: “Elijah, Part 2”

Donna Barclay: My Dad said he's got to get used to me growing up. How's he going to get used to it unless I start dressing grown up?
Jack Davis: <Under breath> Or acting grown up.

#192: “Modesty is the Best Policy”

Jack Davis: How long did it take Noah to build to Ark, Mr. Whittaker?
John Whittaker: Well, some people figure it took about one hundred and twenty years.
Jack Davis: Oh, that's not ba—a hundred and twenty years?!

#56: “By Faith, Noah”

Oscar Peterson: 10-4!
Jack Davis: Nah, it's twenty after! <buzzer sounds>

#82: “Heatwave”

Robyn Jacobs: Pass me some of that brown stuff over there. I like it.
Obadiah: You mean the rabbit?
Robyn Jacobs: Rabbit? I've been eating Bugs Bunny?
Jack Davis: Good grief, Robyn.

#88: “Elijah, Part 2”

Jack Davis: You're dressing like the kind of girls they wanna go out with, but they don't really respect.

#192: “Modesty is the Best Policy”

Jack Davis: It is summer. The weather is hot: too hot. My dad explains it as a condition when a weather front stalls because there isn't enough arctic current to push it on. My dad talks like that sometimes. Watches too much TV.

#82: “Heatwave”

Jack Davis: Maybe I should bow out and let you have her. I mean, Lucy deserves somebody who can make a decision.
Jimmy Barclay: Yeah, but that's not me. I can't make a decision. It takes me fifteen minutes just to pick out something off the value menu.

#639: “The Triangled Web, Part 2”

Oscar Peterson: But what are we gonna do? We don't know who he is, where he's from, what he's doing, or how to find him.
Jack Davis: Ha! Minor details.

#82: “Heatwave”

Jack Davis: Wait! You can't throw us overboard!
Sailor (b): We can't? Why not?
Jack Davis: Because, uh... because, um... you tell 'em, Lucy!
Lucy Cunningham-Schultz: Uh, uh, uh, oh, because, uh... it wouldn't be nice, that's why!
Jack Davis: Way to go, Lucy.

#41: “Return to the Bible Room”

George Barclay: Tell me, Jack, honestly. What did you think of [Donna's dress]?
Jack Davis: Honestly?
George Barclay: Uh, huh.
Jack Davis: Well, I like it a lot, but...
Unknown: For all the wrong reasons.

#192: “Modesty is the Best Policy”

Jack Davis: Will I live to be 950 years old if I have faith like Noah?
John Whittaker: Jack, if you have faith like Noah, you'll live forever.

#56: “By Faith, Noah”

Jack Davis: <voiceover> We tried to act casual so Mr. Watson wouldn't know what we were up to.
Mr. Watson: All right you two, if you're gonna act casual, do it somewhere else. This is a store, not a waiting room.

#82: “Heatwave”

Jack Davis: <voiceover> This case could be bigger than I thought. It was time to come up with a cunning plan.
Oscar Peterson: <over the walkie talkie> What did you say?
Jack Davis: Nothing. I was just narrating.

#82: “Heatwave”

Fred Zachary: Listen, I think maybe it's time for the big leagues.
Jack Davis: You mean—
Fred Zachary: That's right. Let's get this canoe out of the swimming pool, and see how ya do in the lake!
Jack Davis: Yeah!
Oscar Peterson: All right!
Jimmy Barclay: Cool!
Oscar Peterson: Can I still keep my life preserver on?
Fred Zachary: Absolutely!

#74: “Connie Goes to Camp, Part 1”

Trivia

  • Jack took a whole summer to build a tree-fort
  • During the episode #203: “Double Trouble”, a possible name of the pizzeria Jack worked for is given when Edwin Blackgaard complains about Jack's appearance (which is supposed to be his costume.) Edwin states, "...and you in a Mr. Happy's Pizza costume?!", which may imply that the pizzeria is named Mr. Happy's Pizza.
  • According to the Official Adventures in Odyssey Podcast, the actor/actress who played both Jack and Lucy (Donald and Genni Long) had no idea that there was a romantic relationship between the characters they played. At the same time, they acted together since childhood, and, like Jack and Lucy, they were married later on. The marriage was written because Donald and Genni Long were married.
  • Jack, along with Lucy, were one of the two pairs of child Odyssey characters who were predicted in the future into being married, the other pair being Mandy Straussberg and Trent DeWhite.
