Start with the excitement of old-time radio dramas, add action-packed stories, intriguing mysteries, and lessons in fatherhood. The result? Adventures in Odyssey! This collection of previously-released episodes will introduce new listeners to the characters and places that make Odyssey, well, Odyssey.
Discovering Odyssey is a special introductory album. Featuring 9 episodes on 3 CD's, this album contains a majority of early episodes from Adventures in Odyssey, with several newer ones sprinkled in. Also contained in the album is a special booklet with an AIO product listing.
Although it is not part of the mainstream audio series, Discovering Odyssey is a more current beginners' release. This package was produced to somewhat replace the classics album, Welcome to Odyssey. However, the episode listing is slightly altered from the original.
Whit's End is packed with so many customers that Whit can't handle it by himself. Fortunately, a young girl by the name of Connie Kendall comes to work for him while she tries to earn some money to return home to California.
Whit tells a group of friends about how he became a Christian. When he was young, his stepmother was in a horrible accident which left her blind. Through God's love, she was able to cope and show Whit the meaning of faith.
Connie encounters old friends who remind her of how different she was before coming to Odyssey. Meanwhile, Eugene Meltsner starts working at Whit's End and promptly changes how the shop works.
