Hello, and welcome to the Adventures in Odyssey Wiki! The Adventures in Odyssey Wiki (AIOWiki, for short) is an Adventures in Odyssey fansite built entirely around visitor submissions. We, the editors of the site, are avid Odyssey fans. We hope your enjoy perusing all of the features and articles that we have to offer.

Who created the wiki?

AIOWiki was founded on April 25, 2007 by Shadowpaw, the webmaster of the The Soda Fountain and The Town of Odyssey. In his words:

An often requested feature of The Soda Fountain has been to create a completely user-run wiki for the series. That request has not been ignored and I am happy to present a wiki playground for all those enthusiasts who wish to contribute to this massive undertaking.

Because of Shadowpaw's other commitments, he later appointed the user Reddo to manage the site. Reddo is still the current webmaster. Both Shadowpaw and Reddo were interviewed on the 139th Official Podcast, which you can listen to below.

What is a wiki?

AIOWiki is, of course, a wiki-based site. A wiki allows many editors to work on developing the site and collaborate together. Anyone can edit AIOWiki! This means that that AIOWiki is a community effort and every page is the product many users' contributions.

One way editors collaborate is on "talk pages." Every page on the wiki has a talk page associated with it to discuss improvements to that page. To access a talk page, click the "discussion" tab and leave a comment. Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.

How do I create an account?

Please be aware that you do not need to create an account to edit the wiki. However, there are certain benefits to having one. Mainly, your IP address will not be logged in the site history and you will be able to be identified by a username instead.

To create and account and become a full-fledged wiki editor, you must first fill out this form. After you submit your information, an Admin will approve it, and you can start editing with your new user account.

Where can I find assistance?

If you need help, ask at the Town Hall, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. To contact a specific user for assistance, go to his or her talk page and click "Add topic," or send an email. Reddo is the webmaster of this wiki and can solve nearly any problem. However, he is currently very busy, so the 5 active administrators can answer your questions. Administrators can generally answer more questions than average users, but don't disregard someone just because he/she isn't an Admin! Normal users can often be very helpful.
