Locking my user page

I understand you're an admin so you might be able to help me. Can you find some way to lock my user page so only I can edit it? If it's not possible to do so, then I understand. I just don't want anymore unauthorized changes done to my user page.ConnieKendall fan  talk Proverbs 13:20He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. (Guestbook) 11:23, 14 February 2018 (MST)

The thing about locking is (at least as my permissions allow) you pretty much either protect it so that only Admins can edit or it’s unprotected. Rachel Maxwell (talk) 15:20, 14 February 2018 (MST)

Oh, ok. The reason why I was asking is a new user vandalized my page and I had to fix it. The user even changed some lines of code so they didn't work. it took me a little while to fix it, so I don't want it to happen again. Thanks anyway. --ConnieKendall fan  talk Proverbs 13:20He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. (Guestbook) 20:58, 14 February 2018 (MST)

I dug around in the histories a bit to try to find what you're talking about; I think at this point it would be kind to assume it was a mistake. Wiki coding can have a steep learning curve and I know we all are here for the same reason - we love AIO and want to make information about it easily accessible! :) If you're looking for a project I have added a few Organizations in Odyssey that are stubs and need to be expanded into decent-sized articles. Some of them there's not going to be enough info to write a full article, but I know there's information on others, just haven't had a chance to add it! Oh, alright. It's just that Hambone392 put his signature all over the place. if you view my history, you can see what he did. I got him to remove it but he also removed 1 or 2 lines of code and i'm probably making a big deal out of nothing.(Sorry for rambling on and on) I'll look into the Organizations in Odyssey. It probably will be a good project. --ConnieKendall fan  talk Proverbs 13:20He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. (Guestbook) 10:17, 15 February 2018 (MST) (by the way would you believe me if i told you we both have the same name? :-)

If something like that happens again it would probably be easier to revert to a previous edit rather than try to reconstruct it. Awww, that's cool! Rachel isn't actually my name, I took it from the character Richard Maxwell's sister's name though realized later hers was spelled Rachael. I have this headcanon about his family ties to Odyssey and his sister's connection to them that is not really plausible but does entertain me. :) Rachel Maxwell (talk) 11:52, 15 February 2018 (MST)

Belated Hello!

Hello, Rachel Maxwell, and welcome back to the AIOWiki! I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself yet; I'm Scientific Guy, one of the 4 active admins here, you being the fourth. I've seen that you've returned and are making good edits and helping the new users; thanks for coming back. Just a heads-up: we do have a lot of new, inexperienced users here (some are a bit hyper!), and so my advice to you is to only accept advice from the admins (including me), Aiow, and Crnel. That said, thanks again for your help here! Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 17:12, 15 February 2018 (MST)

Historical Characters

No worries: right after the Mentions template was added I also began adding Biblical and historical characters (which could be why some of them still linger). Someone questioned this and we ended up restricting it to Odyssey characters only. In hindsight I think this is more sensible. One can only imagine how many mentions Jesus would have! Crnel (talk) 08:05, 15 May 2018 (MDT)

Absolutely. I suppose we could just apply the rule to Bible characters, but that might get a bit confusing. Rachel Maxwell (talk) 08:10, 15 May 2018 (MDT)
I missed this conversion. I was wondering as I was relistening to the episodes if they should be included or not. I will not add any more Bible Characters as mentions. PS. It's nice to see you back editing again! Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 09:13, 18 May 2018 (MDT)
Thank you! That's very kind. Rachel Maxwell (talk) 09:40, 18 May 2018 (MDT)

Re: Ellen Shepard's Parents

So for Betty Shepard, I would switch her to Betty. Grandpa Shephard, I would just change to Grandfather (you can do character show as Grandpa, if you want). I will eventually give it a letter, but his episode is fairly far from where I am at currently, so I don't know what letter he will be eventually. (My current task is starting at the beginning of episodes and standardizing character naming conventions.)

PS. I just had a conundrum with another set of grandparents to call them Mother and Father or Grandmother and Grandfather, but ultimately decided to name them according to the more specific name and/or perspective of the episode. Obviously, all grandparents are parents, but not all moms and dads are grandparents. Also, it seems as though Potlucks and Poetry is written from Aubrey's perspective and it would be her grandpa. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 09:50, 18 May 2018 (MDT)

Grandma Betty works for me! I would prefer grandfather, only for consistency. I had this problem already with mom versus mother. So the character page can be Grandfather (b) (as I just created a Grandfather (a) character), but can be referenced to as Grandpa in the templates (see my Town Hall response about your Katrina Meltsner question). Grandpa seems like a nickname versus the actual title. (Whit versus John Whittaker type of scenario, imo.) Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 10:02, 18 May 2018 (MDT)
Yep, and if you want it to show a different character than the actual name, just used the |character_show field, but it's the same reason it messed up the mentions for Katrina. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 10:06, 18 May 2018 (MDT)

Yeah, I don’t have a fix for that problem. I think that’s a database/backend cache problem and don’t know how to fix it. Scientific Guy and I had a discussion about that about a month ago. I currently don’t know a fix, sorry. Stop Wooton' Around (talk) 12:23, 18 May 2018 (MDT)

Re: Silent Night Cast

I'd agree on all three roles. Courtnee Draper's page on Behind the Voice Actors includes an audio clip from Bioshock which sounds very much like the adult Jana. Hankey makes sense for a young Jerry and it does seem doubtful that Kensworthy would be brought in for just one tiny role; I can't place the voice, but it doesn't sound like either Draper or Kaplan.
