Personality

Robert was the younger brother of Alvin York. He was one of seven children and the provider when Alvin was either away drinking or fighting in World War I. Alvin was responsible for teaching him how to shoot. His relationship was initially rocky with Alvin but improved after Alvin became a Christian. He never knew his father.

History

In Sergeant York, Part 1, his brother Alvin York went through a lesson teaching him how to shoot. Robert missed the can target Alvin was having him aim at, and hit a nearby tree. After asking about their father, Alvin showed him how to shoot two squirrels. Robert was impressed but initially refused to pick up said squirrels. Only after Alvin clipped him did Robert pick up the squirrels before Gracie Williams hit Alvin with a rock in retaliation.
