In the 1300s, John Wycliffe believed that common people should have access to the Bible in readable English. His own translation got the ball rolling, and has inspired others to continue that outreach all around the world. Since 1942, Wycliffe Bible Translators and its partner organizations have been involved in the translation of New Testaments or Bibles in more than 1,400 languages. The ministry also provides literacy training, and helps new believers apply the truths of Scripture to their daily lives. Wycliffe was featured in #872: “The Morning Star”.
