History

Lanny is Bart's "advertising consultant" for the Electric Palace and, according to the episode #243: “Family Values”, has been to jail. Lanny was in jail prior to "Family Values" but had apparently been released by the events of #528: “The Taming of the Two”, when he was able to give Bart advice on advertising for the Electric Palace. Based on Doris Rathbone's reaction to the thought of Lanny coming to visit, Lanny apparently had a propensity for theft — a tendency that could have led to his incarceration.
