Jacob Arley is a a ghost who appears in the Kids' Radio production #173: “A Thanksgiving Carol”. The name "Jacob Arley" combines two names. The first is Jacob Marley, a character from the Dickens's A Christmas Carol. The second is David Harley, the name of a dim-witted police office who was removed from the series in 1988. In “A Thanksgiving Carol,” Jacob says, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse," Harley's signature line. The appearance of Jacob Arley marks the last reference to Harley made in Adventures in Odyssey.
