Alaska, known for hosting the annual Iditarod dogsled race, is also home to Carry the Cure, a ministry devoted to sharing the hope of Jesus Christ in remote villages along the Iditarod Trail. With a suicide rate double the national average, Alaska suffers from epidemic depression and despair. Carry the Cure events use music and other cultural traditions to remind young people that life is worth living. Just as mushers in 1925 raced to deliver antitoxin to a town stricken with diphtheria, Bill Pagaran and his team traverse the same frozen tundra with spiritual healing. It was featured in #766: “The Cure, Part 1”, #767: “The Cure, Part 2” and #768: “The Cure, Part 3”.
