History
Phil Phillips is a con-artist from Chicago. He tried to trick Odyssey's businesses out of their money by posing as a marketing consultant. However, Whit exposed him for what he really was in front of Curt Stevens (as a real-life example of the lesson he was trying to teach Curt about words being meaningful and how giving something a flashy name doesn't change what it really is). Phil then tried to skip town, but was caught by the local authorities. The sheriff then told Phil that, in Bernard Walton's words, the next time Phil "had an inkling" to come to Odyssey, he'd better think twice, and Phil "took off like a bad puppy with his tail between his legs".
Notes
- Phil Phillips sounds just like Frank Phillips from Chicago in Waylaid in the Windy City.
