History

Kelly is a young girl who ran away from her home in Richland and came to Odyssey due to her mother's abusive behavior and was placed in foster care. She is now living with the Washington family. She erased Connie's book about Odyssey, making Connie slightly edgy around Kelly, though the tensions were relieved in #630: “Chip Off the Shoulder”. She was saved after she had an experience with Jesus in the Imagination Station in #642: “The Imagination Station, Revisited, Part 2”. Kelly also had a best friend named Cassie, who is mentioned in #630: “Chip Off the Shoulder”.

After a time jump of several years (established in the The Washington Family Christmas Card), it was revealed in Elsewhere in Odyssey that in present day Odyssey, Kelly (now a teenager) attends Mapleton Preparatory Academy, and is involved in their music program which led to her performing at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

Kelly was adopted by the Washington family, but her biological mother's name is Laura. Her biological father's name is unknown.

Hobbies

Kelly taught herself to play the piano and keyboard. She used to smoke regularly, and nobody is quite sure whether she has given it up yet. Her favorite ice-cream flavor is fudge marble.

Trivia

• Eugene refers to her as "a walking EMP device," mistakenly concluding that she has the abnormal biological ability to disrupt electronic devices.
• Her favorite band is Skeletal Maidens (#614: “Best of Enemies”).
• Kelly was portrayed to be around 10-11 years old when she appeared in the audio show, and as of 2023, in her family's Christmas card, Kelly is revealed to now be around 15 years old.
