Terence Buganville was one of the children Joe Finneman saved in WWII. He is currently a prominent businessman in Papua New Guinea.

History

During WWII, Terence and some other children were living in a hut in a village in New Guinea. Being the oldest, Terence was the ringleader. He and the other children met Joe Finneman at some point. Even in that brief time, Joe and the children built up a brief relationship together. Terence and Joe had many conversations that day. Later that night, while talking about his best friend Sam Saburo, Joe showed Terence a photo of the two of them, mentioning that he was the bravest and most honest man he knew. Terence then asked if he and Joe could become best friends, and Joe hesitantly agreed.

After Joe left, the hut that Terence and the children were staying at was found by a Japanese soldier and the children were forced to move out. When Terence was hit by the soldier while yelling out "Joe," Joe ran back to the hut to fight the solider and protect the children, losing blood in the process. Terence later took the photo from Joe while he was passed out from blood loss. This photo helped Terence feel secure through moments when he was afraid, including the rest of the war and the rest of his life.

Terence tried to search for Joe for 50 years until he finally connected with Dale Jacobs. He later came to Odyssey and eventually finally reunited with Joe. There, he returned the photo to Joe and shared his appreciation towards him.

Family

His mother and father were captured by the Japanese during WWII, but their names are unknown and it is not known whether Terence has any siblings.
