Personality

Ray hosts the Odyssey Library's Book Club. He's very enthusiastic about the books the club discusses. He in fact likes them so much that he has a tendency to keep the books he rents from the library for long after they're overdue. Despite his enthusiasm he doesn't seem to have the sophistication to understand Eugene's vocabulary. Also he gets rather grumpy by negativity such as Eugene's opinion of the book, Katrina's not reading the book and having a negative mood, and Mrs. Kramer's grumpy referral to his not turning the rented books in on time.

History

In his sole appearance in To Mend or Repair, Ray hosted the Odyssey Library Book Club. He started out very enthusiastically asking about the book that week. He was at first flustered by Eugene Meltsner's opinion of the book but brushed it off. When Katrina Meltsner told him she didn't read the book he reacted negatively to the news and her attitude. After Eugene and Katrina left Mrs. Kramer brought up the fact that Ray still had three books overdue and wanted to discuss them.
