Question: Why does Bart list two phone numbers in "The Electric Palace Do-Dah Song"?
Additional Details: On The Electric Palace Do-Dah Song, Bart lists both 555-3122 and 553-1222 as the store's phone numbers. Why?

I'm not sure. Perhaps Bart didn't really have a phone number and was making it all up. Possibly actor Walker Edmiston messed up while singing the song. The most likely explanation is that the song was written with two phone numbers to discourage kids from actually calling the number thinking that it was real. • It's most likely a mistake on Walker Edmiston's part. Odyssey, like most TV shows and movies, uses "555" phone numbers. The prefix is reserved for use for fictional phone numbers by the entertainment industry (in North America, anyway). That being said, there are a select few working phone numbers that begin with the "555" prefix, in both the US and Canada. Most of those result in directory assistance, similar to 411.--Bibliophile (talk) 08:29, 4 March 2014 (MST)
