Question: In DBD, why did Richard Maxwell create a diversion and let Rodney Rathbone escape?
Additional Details: And why didn't Rodney tell anyone about Richard when he saw him jump out of the car?

The primary reason for Richard to create the diversion was to distract Blackgaard from taking Jellyfish's computer and discovering the files of incriminating evidence on it; Richard wanted the information from the computer to try to help fight against Blackgaard and his cronies, and Blackgaard would surely destroy the information if he were to find out about it. He told Rodney to get out of there because Richard knew that Blackgaard would discover them and potentially harm them, and more than likely he did not want Rodney to suffer whatever Blckgaard would do to him if he found him there.

Rodney never explains why he didn't tell anyone about Richard jumping from the car, just that he didn't. More than likely, he didn't tell because he's Rodney Rathbone and he's nothing if not a huge coward. He was concerned for Richard's safety, but not enough to potentially risk his own neck to ensure that Richard would be alright. TigerShadow (talk) 22:56, 28 July 2014 (MDT)
