Spoilers - New Policy

Hey there, what’s the new policy on spoilers? I’m thinking of Rydell Saga#Dates and Mrs. Rydell. Would full spoilers or partial spoilers be warranted on those pages? Thanks Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 11:55, 16 July 2020 (MDT)

I'm just going to jump in and link this discussion. I think it's the last I've heard about this topic and it seems to be what everyone is following. Another thing to note is you can put quotes on unreleased episodes and they will not show up in the character quotes on individual pages until the episode is officially released. Reddo made that change in late February. puzzlemaster (talk) 12:03, 16 July 2020 (MDT)
Aha, I forgot about that discussion. Thanks. Scientific Guy (talk / AIOC Episode Timeline) 15:13, 16 July 2020 (MDT)
Yes, I do think the town hall is the best place for this discussion. Personally I would say that we should avoid putting any information from the new Episodes until they air on the radio with the exception of the episode pages (which have spoiler warnings anyways). Skylerbuck (talk) 19:50, 18 July 2020 (MDT)

Sorry

Sorry for creating Actors who have voiced Joanne Woodston-Allen again. I was just viewing it, and mabel created it. TheAIOlover (talk) 20:12, 18 July 2020 (MDT)

Citations

I have an idea. I think every statement on this wiki should be cited. I edit on another wiki that uses this, and it helps prevent false information. If you agree with this, I'd be happy to add them. The only problem I see is that if someone gets new information via email, say, from bob hoose, how would you cite that? There may be a way to. — Riley 20:41, 26 July 2020 (MDT)

Congrats

I just wanted to say congratulations on 8000 edits! — Riley 21:50, 26 July 2020 (MDT)

Question

I have seen something on all of the episode pages. This is an eample: May 18, 1991.}}. Is there a way to remove the }}? — Riley 19:29, 27 July 2020 (MDT)

Awards

I recently posted my idea of awards. Do you think I could create a sub-page with the awards, and post them on people's talk pages when they achieve something? It would be a fun way to encourage users. — Riley 17:26, 29 July 2020 (MDT)

Sorry for jumping in, but I think that userboxes can function that way if you want them to. EMEads!! (talk) 08:35, 3 November 2020 (MST)

Previous Title

What is the purpose of this code in the video infobox? OdysseyFan (talk) 19:03, 7 August 2020 (MDT)

I see what you were trying to do but only a couple episodes actually changed names after release, some for International release or for spelling/sensetivity issues etc. none of the videos did and no Books that I know of. So I think the titles you are referencing are "Working Titles" to be accurate. I changes the pages I saw were affected. OdysseyFan (talk) 19:38, 7 August 2020 (MDT)

Category:Flagged for Deletion

Why did you delete the Category:Flagged for Deletion? How will you or an other admin know when there is a page to delete without that category? Aiow 08:28, 12 August 2020 (MDT)

Episode inquiry

Hi! I noticed that #438b: “The Telltale Cat” was listed for today's episode, but since it was changed to #442a: “Two Roads”, which I think should be changed. I know it's mentioned on the pages themselves, but they're not reported correctly on when they air(ed). htm14 (talk) 18:46, 18 August 2020 (MDT)

Hi! Thanks for fixing that. As an aside though, I was wondering if it would be possible if we can have the conversation under one talkpage? After a while, it might (and previously was the case) gets confusing - the context gets lost. Having the conversation in one page helps it stay organized. I am also curious if you guys happen to have any policies written up for the wiki in general. All I think I see is the Town Hall and the welcome page. The reason I ask is because the character pages for instance seem to have a lot of inconsistency in the way that they're formatted. As an example, compare Mandy Straussberg and Liz Horton's pages. I would love to continue to update the wiki so that the wiki continues to be filled up in a way that is efficient and effective. Thanks in advance! htm14 (talk) 06:38, 19 August 2020 (MDT)
All of the policies are under [Category:Help] . Yes, there is a lot of inconsistencies among character pages and I'm not sure if any of the help pages actually address the format of character pages directly, so this might have to be something we discuss in the Town Hall. Skylerbuck (talk) 10:38, 20 August 2020 (MDT)
Oh, thanks! I had no idea about this - the welcome template changed since I last welcomed myself (heh) and the newest version that is out. Also, I want to apologize if I came across as demeaning or rude. That message definitely could've been interpreted that way. htm14 (talk) 09:15, 21 August 2020 (MDT)
I'm glad to help out. And, you're good! Skylerbuck (talk) 21:06, 21 August 2020 (MDT)

Additional inquiries for the wiki

Hello Skylerbuck! I had a couple of questions that I was hoping you would be able to answer:

  1. Are the Young Whit, The Imagination Station, and other book series considered canon to AIO? If not, is there a preferred way of denoting that this is not considered canonical material?
  2. Do you mind looking into the talkpages for Mulligan family and Jefferson family? The pages mention requiring edit requests to be posted on the discussion page.
  3. For tomorrow, the episode chosen is not #470: “Break A Leg” but rather #797: “A Predicament of Biblical Proportions”. It seems to be rather deliberate, as seen in this page, though I'm not sure if it was posted prior to today. Not sure if it will mean that each episode is shifted back one day or if it's just simply replacing Break a Leg, but that would be an adjustment that may need to be made.

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing back from you! htm14 (talk) 19:47, 24 September 2020 (MDT)

I happened to notice this, so I jumped on the schedule error. Oops, my bad. Sorry everybody. I checked the September schedule from FOTF and A Predicament of Biblical Proportions simply replaced Break A Leg. Aiow 20:19, 24 September 2020 (MDT)
Hello! I noticed that you were around recently and was wondering if you could follow up on my other inquiries. Thanks! htm14 (talk) 10:21, 13 October 2020 (MDT)
Hi, sorry I didn't get back to you. I was meaning to, and then I forgot.

1. I would say that yes the book series are canonical. Some people may disagree, but I tend to view most of the books as canon.

2. I'm not too familiar with how the family trees work on the wiki, but I will get around to it when I have time.

3. Looks like this has been resolved.

Sorry for the slow response. Skylerbuck (talk) 19:02, 14 October 2020 (MDT)

No worries! And thanks for your feedback. Is the canonicity of the book series considered to be policy for the wiki? htm14 (talk) 19:36, 19 October 2020 (MDT)
