Strateflyer

Mr. Whittaker described it this way in the episode #440: “I Slap Floor”, which is questionable, because, as the episode points out, Bernard Walton made up the whole storyline for an April Fools Day joke. So in a way, one could say that the inventor was actually Bernard Walton. This invention is never mentioned in another episode, but is a regular in the video series.
As a further note, when Whit described in the episode, he said he had invented it that day. #440: “I Slap Floor” aired on April 1, 2000, but the Strateflyer has been a regular in the movies since the first movies were released in 1991.

[edit] Audio Series
The Strateflyer is an invention that is never mentioned in the audio series, besides a tongue-in cheek reference in #440: “I Slap Floor”. In the episode, Bernard Walton tells Mandy and David Straussberg a series of strange stories that supposedly happened during the previous week. Bernard doesn't refer to the Strateflyer by name, but instead recounts Whit giving a description of his "new invention." Whit presented his idea as proof that he was not acting strangely, when he clearly had been giving bad advice.
According to "Whit," his new invention is:

When Connie Kendall and Tom Riley view this explanation as further proof that Whit is behaving strangely and needs to rest, Whit replies that they will
| “ | ...all be sorry next time someone falls off a clock tower! | ” |
which is a reference to the use of the Strateflyer to save Dylan in A Fine Feathered Frenzy.

As with many inventions of Whit's, the Strateflyer seemed to just "appear" in the video series.
