Everything comes together as the three couples try to work out their differences.
[edit] Plot
George Barclay arrives for a pastors' conference and to conduct the mysterious wedding and listens in while Connie Kendall continues to explain recent romantic entanglements to Jason. Unsure whether he should accept Katrina Shanks's marriage proposal, Eugene sets out to conduct a scientific survey, hoping to get data to help him decide whether to marry or not. Bernard Walton stops the survey, urging Eugene to seek counsel instead. He and Katrina meet with George Barclay for engagement counseling and argue. George suggests they decide whether or not they want to commit themselves to one another for life and suggests a period of betrothal to prepare for marriage. Eugene then asks Katrina to marry him and she accepts.
Whit and Margaret Faye meet to discuss her marriage proposal, and he not only declines, but also declines to manage her mayoral campaign because he disagrees with her political philosophy. Margaret, unused to being rejected, is very angry. Jack Allen and Joanne Woodston announce their engagement to the gang at Whit's End. Jack makes an offer on an antique store, which is owned by Margaret, but because she has been rejected by Whit, Margaret refuses to sell to him. When Whit discovers that Margaret has turned down Jack's offer, he appeals to her to do the right thing and not take out her anger at him on Jack. She realizes she is wrong and agrees to let Jack buy the antique store. The wedding day arrives at last and Jason and Connie tearfully witness the marriage of Jack and Joanne.

- VERSION DIFFERENCE: The album version added a number of conversations and scenes to this show. In the album version: There is an extended scene between Whit and Tom in the stable where Whit discusses Margaret. The scene where Eugene asks Connie and Whit if he should marry Katrina is extended, as is the scene where Bernard talks to Eugene about his survey. A scene shows Jack and Joanne meeting with Mr. Gumley. There are more lines in the scene where Whit turns Margaret's wedding proposal down. There more also more lines during the counseling session with Mr. Barclay and the scene where Whit and Margaret discuss the Antique Shop. Chris's closing comments are also longer.(
- We find out that Jack's full name is Jack Wilbur Allen and Joanne's full name is Joanne Judith Woodston.
This was probably an allusion to the actors' other famous roles: Alan Young as Wilbur on "Mr. Ed" and Janet Waldo as Judy on "The Jetsons."
